Susan L. Rose of Pleasanton. General Manager, Fremont Symphony. Founding Board Member of the Foundation for the Arts. Former Member of the Alameda County Arts Commission. The Fremont Symphony brings classical music to 8,500 adults and children per year and also serves as the orchestra for Fremont Opera productions. Prior to her appointment as General Manager of the Symphony in August 2008, Susan Rose spent many years as an active member of the Symphony’s Board of Directors, serving as its president, treasurer and secretary. She has a strong historical connection to the arts in Alameda County. She served as an appointed member of the Alameda County Arts Commission for 8 years, serving 2 years as its chairperson; and she served on the Public Art Advisory Committee for 10 years and was the founding chairperson.
